The Institute of Transpersonal Psychology ITP is a groundbreaking center of integrative, whole-person learning, and training; as well promoting the expanding frontiers of psychology and spirituality for improving humanity and sustaining the planet. I earned an Advanced Transformational Life Coaching Certificate from ITP in 2010.
Writing and Healing
All Things Healing ATH brings together a worldwide community of people, alternative healing sites, and organizations dedicated to educating and inspiring people in topics about alternative healing of mind, body, spirit and the planet. I currently serve as a Co-Editor for the Writing & Poetry Therapy section.
Dreambelle Dreambelle is an online inspirational space of love, faith, creativity, inner beauty, peace, personal courage, and the pursuit of dreams. Arts & Healing Network The Arts & Healing Network was created in 1997 as an online resource for anyone interested in the healing potential of art. Their mission is to offer a wealth of information about using art to heal oneself, another person, a community, and/or the planet. I am a featured career consultant for the Arts & Healing Network.
The Institute for Poetic Medicine IPM is a non-profit organization dedicated to healing body, mind and spirit through the creative and therapeutic process of hearing and writing poetry. I served as an Executive Director, as well as a member of the Board of Directors from 2004-2006.
The Center for Journal Therapy The Center for Journal Therapy is the premier source of education and training on the power of writing to heal body, psyche and soul. I completed my Journal to the Self Certification in 2009. I have finished all of my formal course work and have begun my Capstone Project towards Certification as a Journal Facilitator, a full two-year program.
Writing & Healing Professionals
Rae Hight, RN, MA, LMHC, Certified Journal Therapist. Rae has been in the helping professions since 1980 as a registered nurse and licensed mental health counselor. She is a trained SoulCollage® facilitator and Certified Vision Board Counselor. In 2011, Rae completed an 18-month advanced program in journal therapy through Kathleen Adam’s Therapeutic Writing Institute. Rae provides journaling instruction (including CEUs for mental health professionals), coaching and professional consultation on-line and on-site in Port Orchard, Washington. She also has developed an on-line holistic wellness journaling course and workbook for nurses.
Cancer Support
ThyCa Thyca includes current information about thyroid cancer and support services available to people at any stage of testing, treatment, or lifelong monitoring for thyroid cancer, as well as their caregivers. This website was an extremely valuable resource through my treatment stage, providing menus and recipes that did not contain iodine. Since my diagnosis in 2003, I was able see the gift in cancer, and today I am now cancer free and seeing life and health in a whole new light.
